My name is Jeff Speaker and I am running for Mayor. Many of you remember me as the fourth mayor of the City of Brookfield; others may remember me as a police officer and dare officer teaching many of your children.

 

As mayor I was a strong leader and I will continue that tradition. As mayor I managed and met budgets and was an effective administrator. I worked throughout our community, in our schools, neighborhoods and with businesses, listening to the concerns and interests that you had while solving problems.

 

I understand our cities strengths and fully understand the challenges that lie ahead. Our city has limited open spaces that we can allow development on. This means we need to be even more focused on controlling city spending. I believe in smaller, smarter government and I know we can accomplish both without sacrificing services. Our future success is all about keeping our taxes low and keeping Brookfield the top choice for people to live and work. 

 

As mayor, I will strengthen the relationship between people and elected officials. I will continue to be a leader you can trust to keep city government focused on the needs of the community.
