As Mayor I:

 

• Modified the health care plan for the city employees by establishing higher co-pays and deductibles with increased premium shrink and reduced costs. 

• Appointed a committee to study fire and Emergency Medicical Services delivery for the city using existing staff. Implemented the study results moving and rebuilding two first stations resulting in $2,000,000 a year tax saving, and improving response times coverage from 47% to 95% of the city within four minutes.

• Initiated cost saving and efficiency review for two major cost centers, city fleet, and police dispatch. This drove a cost reduction of over $375,000 in fleet costs through stream lining, and schedule efficiencies. I championed a county-shared dispatch center generating savings of over $500,000 per year.

• Put in place the fifteen minutes of public comment before the common council meetings allowing the citizens more access to their elected officials.

• Initiated the redevelopment of abandoned printing company at 124th and Bluemound road including task force involvement to protect the city's tax base as well as the surrounding neighborhood.

• Was elected chair of the Waukesha county co-operation council and appointed president of DARE Wisconsin Limited board.

• Served on the State of Wisconsin's Incorporation Board making decisions on whether townships can incorporated.
